It is nothing more than an app that requires your iPhone to be mounted/placed securely, and you doing a hard launch. This measures your launch with a G-force meter, and the way to prove to your pals that “0-60” time is correct.

This is an example of my hand in a vigorous motion much like how focused one can be in their shake weight exercise. Imagine what you can do (within the legal boundaries of the state/county/city/territory/country) with this. Every red light is a goddamn 0-50 mph (especially if you have a ish ish highway near your residence that has a 50 mph speed limit). But careful. Some areas have laws on hard launching that can land you with charges. So careful, and make sure to use while going on freeways to highway speeds.

Feel free to try this app and let’s see how your traveling vigorously moving body suffers g-forces through the magic of internal combustion/electricity/hamburger/tofuburger.

Excuse me, I have an AP English essay 5th period.

From the BMW Website about the X5M from 2009 ( !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! )

Before you start to measure your driving pleasure, please note the following when using the BMW M Power Meter to ensure your measurements are taken as accurately as possible:

- The vehicle must be stationary to start recording the measurements
- The measurements should be recorded on a straight road without steep inclines
- The iPhone should either be upright (e.g. in a holder) or laid flat facing the exact direction you are driving in to ensure the measurements are accurate
- To start recording the measurements press “Start” and accept the conditions screen by pressing “Accept”
- When starting to record the measurements please accelerate until you have reached the target speed or until you have covered the specified distance

Now it’s your turn. Rediscover the success formula of driving pleasure. Don’t just take our word for it, measure performance for yourself using our fun and uncomplicated tool – the free-of-charge BMW M Power Meter application.

From my experience with a similar app the 0-60 times are wildly inaccurate. I think there's a delay before it reads the car as having launched, leading to ~5s 0-60s for a car that should be low 7 seconds max...

My brother has a 530d GT rental with the power gauge that showed how much horsepower and torque you were using at that moment. Surprisingly addictive
